Donate Now

Please consider supporting the Reading Festival with a donation.

The Reading Festival is reliant on sponsorships, grants, and other donations. Every dollar is still critical! Even with the great community support, we need your continued help. We are determined to deliver another superior experience in March.

  • Adopt An Author

Individuals and small businesses are invited to participate in the Adopt An Author Program with donations in amounts from $25 to $1,000. Every donation is significant, no matter the size. Donors will be able to support an author’s meal and travel expenses in a fun, new way. Your donation also helps us fulfill the Reading Festival mission of promoting reading, literacy, library services and community partnerships. More information coming soon.

  • Business Sponsorship Opportunities

We welcome the chance to design a proposal that meets your organization’s philanthropic mission or integrated marketing goals. Sponsorships range from under $1,000 to $10,000 with sponsor benefits varying according to the level of giving. To discuss sponsorship opportunities or request a proposal, please call the Festival Coordinator at 239.533.4832 or email to mbaker@leegov.com.

  • Tributes

Consider a donation to the Southwest Florida Reading Festival in honor or in memory of someone – a thoughtful way to remember family and friends. Use the “Donate Now” button and fill in the “Additional Comments” section with the honoree’s name, whether it is in memory of or in honor of, and the name and address of the person to be notified of the tribute.

Why support the Festival?

The Southwest Florida Reading Festival is the Lee County Library System’s annual signature event designed to enlighten the public about the vast array of free resources available at their public libraries and to promote reading and literacy. To our knowledge, no other organization in southwest Florida offers anything comparable to the Reading Festival. The Reading Festival teaches people the new and innovative ways public libraries are meeting the needs of residents and visitors alike.

In the current economic climate, people are in great need of free assistance, computer and Internet use, and opportunities for enjoyment, enlightenment and personal development. Programs and services from the Lee County Library System help fill these needs, building a literate community and improving the local standard of living. Partnerships within the community enable each partner to achieve results beyond what any single organization can accomplish individually. The Lee County Library System partners with a host of area organizations and businesses to produce the Reading Festival and continually adds to its list of partners.
