Three bands have been named as finalists
in the Reading Rocks! Teen Battle
of the Bands.
The finalist bands will perform live
at the Southwest Florida Reading Festival on March 16
in Centennial Park and the awards will be presented at the
close of the Reading Festival.

The performance times are:
  • Noon – 12:30 Performance - AGN
  • 1:45 – 2:15 Performance - VisonZ
  • 3:15 – 3:45 Performance - Xenomatic
  • 4 p.m. awards
The bands were judged by a combination of judges and public online voting.
The bands that have progressed to the finals are:

The final Battle will be judged by five judges who are all local musicians. The Battle is open to the public and is part of the Reading Festival teen activities. To see all qualified band entries go to www.howlgallery.com/readingrocks. The Reading Festival is free and open to the public. The Battle will occur in the teen zone.

  • Select a free book to keep
  • Paint on the graffiti wall
  • Get a temporary tattoo or hair braid
  • Create Steampunk jewelry or duct tape lanyards
The first place prize includes an eight hour studio recording session at Sonic Recording Studios a feature article in Spot Music Magazine and a photo session with Snap Flash Photo!

The event is presented by Howl Gallery and the Southwest Florida Reading Festival and is intended to encourage involvement in reading and the arts among high school and middle school age students!
